We've recently rolled out a series of updates, tweaks and bug fixes to our web portal.
What's new?
New features in the web portal
- Previously, Severity was the only mandatory field within the incident/accident form despite Type of Injury being equally as important to record.
- Now, the Type of Injury field has become mandatory, which will help acquire a more specific trend of incidents/accidents.
- This change is applied to all platforms, including mobile app and PWA (https://app.1placeonline.com)
"Email Reports" and "Reporting Dashboard" can now be linked to each other!
- Previously, Email reports and Reporting Dashboard needed to be built separately, even if they contained the same type of reporting widgets and format.
- Now, the Reporting Dashboard can be linked to the Email report and vice versa. This will save you a lot of time if they both share the same reporting widgets! (e.g. Checklist completion, Comparisons, Group result etc.)
- On top of this, you can see 'Other Dashboards' that were set up by other super users under "Reporting Dashboard Configurations" page, if you are a super user.
What's the difference? Why is it important to set both up?
Email reports are the reports that are sent to your inbox at a certain frequency such as once a day/week/month to see the summary data of how your centers/services/stores are doing.
The charts/graphs that are included in the reports vary depending on how you customize it, but typically includes;
Checklist completion, Comparison (Also called Checklist as a whole), Group Results, Ticket Outstanding Plugin, Checklist Photo Report (*Available in Email Report only) and more.
They are usually based on the historical data for the time period you set up for.
The benefit of Email reports is that the summary of the day/week/month is just sitting in your inbox, without you accessing 1Place.
Another advantage of email reports is that there is a checklist photo report widget which is only available in email report. This allows you to check photos that were taken by centre/room staff while they were filling out the checklists, within your email.
E.g.:
Reporting Dashboard can also be set up with the same structure as email report (except checklist photo report), but instead it shows the real-time data. So if you want to know what is happening now at the centers/services/stores, it's the best to check the reporting dashboard.
Reporting dashboard is also useful when you want to look back on the data for a certain time period (e.g. need to pull the last 6 months' data) or look into specific data such as the selection of question answers.
You can easily narrow down your data by simply adjusting the filter of time range, answer choices etc. This way, you save a lot of your time rather than digging into your inbox to search for the email reports that were sent months ago.
Reporting Dashboard-How to adjust the filter to your needs Both email reports and reporting dashboards have their own benefit, so it is important to set both of them up, but it is also true that they share lots of same reporting functions and widgets.
Example:
Checklist Completion | |
Comparison | |
Group Results | |
Outstanding Ticket Plugin | |
Therefore this new feature of being able to "link" the reporting dashboard and email report comes very handy if one of them is not yet set up.

Bug fixes & Improvements in the Web Portal
Photos in PDF checklist report display in correct order
- The error that occurs when additional photos are uploaded in the consecutive checklist submission has been fixed.
- Previously, the PDF report was only showing the comment that was added when the checklist was first submitted. It now captures all comments including those added later on.
Users without profile
- Previously, users can be unlinked from the profile without assigning another profile, which caused users not being able to access 1Place.
- It has now been fixed and the list of users will be shown at the bottom of the profile setting page if they're unlinked from the previous profile allowing you to reassign to an existing profile. Please note you will not be able to move forward until completing these reassignments.
As usual, feel free to reach out to us should you have any questions.
