Checklist Template Builder: Data and Dynamic Grids

Within your checklist creation process there are options to create grids. The two grid types at your disposal are the Data Grid, and the Dynamic Grid. The dynamic grid can either be fixed (limiting the amount of rows) or unlimited.

Data Grid Example:

To create a data grid within your checklist, follow the Checklist Template article and follow through to create a group within a Checklist.

Once you have created a group, drag in the Data Grid from the question templates:

From here, you may enter what your question is, as well as choose how many columns and rows will be included in your Data Grid.

Now click the “Show Table/Add Tables” button to do this. Note: Every time you update the amount of columns or rows, you must click this button to see your changes.

You may now enter your row labels and header, as well as formulas or any other information you want to present.

Dynamic Data Grid Example:

In this example we will make a Dynamic Input Data Grid.

Within a Dynamic Data Grid, you may add other question templates to create the grid. You may drag a question below the Dynamic Data Grid box. (In this example, we will drag a text area.)

A second area will appear allowing the user to add their new question to the grid.

Once you have saved your checklist you may find it in your checklist templates.

The dynamic grid has allowed the text box to appear within the grid. Due to this not being a fixed dynamic grid, the user may add as many rows as they like to answer the question(s) by clicking the green “Add Row” button.
